Siuna Ann Reid graduated from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1990 and bought her own veterinary practice in 1995, The Veterinary Health Centre (TVHC) in Lytham St. Anne’s, Lancashire. Siuna enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery with a particular interest in exotic medicine and surgery. In 2012 Siuna was awarded a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Zoological Medicine). She says:
“So many reptiles are bought as first pets for children as they appear to be easy and low maintenance. Reptiles are complex creatures with unique anatomy and physiology. They are so different from mammals. Reptiles have an amazing propensity to suffer. They do not communicate with words, do not bark or scream, and have no facial expression.”
